German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius confirmed the German government's refusal to supply Ukraine with long-range Taurus cruise missiles.
He said this on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Vilnius, Tagesspiegel reports.
"If individual partners do this (supply long-range missiles - Ed.), it is their sovereign decision. We do not intend to change our position," the German minister said.
He said he saw no reason to criticize Germany, as his country, along with the United States, provides Ukraine with the most assistance.
"Without us, Ukraine's air defense would not be possible at all," Pistorius added.
