Germany will provide Ukraine with an additional €100 million in aid this winter.
This was stated by German Foreign Minister Annalena Burbock, RBC-Ukraine reports citing Reuters.
Burbock made the statement during a visit to Moldova.
Russia is once again planning a ‘winter war to make life as horrible as possible for people in Ukraine,’ Burbock said before a ministerial conference in Chisinau.
German aid
Germany provides Ukraine with extensive military assistance, including a variety of weapons and equipment. The list of deliveries is constantly updated, but some of the major weapons that have already been transferred or are planned to be transferred include:
Air defence systems:
- Gepard: A self-propelled anti-aircraft system already in use by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to combat drones and aircraft.
- IRIS-T: An advanced anti-aircraft missile system that significantly enhances the capabilities of Ukrainian air defence.
Artillery:
- PzH 2000: A self-propelled howitzer that provides high accuracy and range.
- MARS II: A multiple launch rocket system capable of hitting targets over long distances.
Armoured vehicle:
- Marder: An infantry fighting vehicle used to transport personnel and provide fire support.
- Leopard 2: The main battle tank, one of the most powerful in the world, which significantly strengthens the ground forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Other weapons and equipment:
- Anti-tank weapons: Panzerfaust 3, NLAW, etc.
- Anti-aircraft missile systems: Stinger.
- Armoured personnel carriers: M113.
- Ammunition and other equipment.
