The head of the US House Armed Services Committee, Adam Smith, said how many more HIMARS and other multiple rocket launchers the United States and its allies could provide to Ukraine.
He said this in an exclusive interview with Radio Liberty.
"We are ready to provide Ukraine with as many HIMARS installations as we can. It is not a fact that we have exactly 50 such installations in our arsenal. I think now the goal is to reach the number of 25-30 multiple rocket launchers," he said.
He said it will be a combination of HIMARS and several MLRS systems from the U.K. and others.
"We will try to provide as many as we can. But 50 or 60 rigs will be difficult to assemble and provide, however, we want to reach a figure of 25 or 30 and provide as much artillery and missiles for those systems as we can," Smith said.-
