Hungary threatens with World War III if Ukraine joins NATO

Hungary believes that Ukraine's accession to NATO would lead to the outbreak of World War III. Therefore, Budapest is against such a replenishment of the Alliance.
This was stated by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto, RBC-Ukraine reports citing Index.
According to the controversial Hungarian official, Ukraine's membership in NATO will lead to World War III because of the collective defense article.
“I think that anyone who thinks about this issue with common sense does not want to create such a danger. Therefore, Hungary's position is clear: Ukraine's admission to NATO is impossible,” Szijjarto said.
The Hungarian foreign minister assures that most EU foreign ministers “take the same position during closed-door negotiations.”
