India has stepped up supplies of limited critical technologies to the Russian Federation that are banned by Western sanctions. The volume of Indian exports has become the second largest for Moscow after China's.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Bloomberg.

Against this background, US and European officials have noted the difficulty of trying to suppress sanctioned exports, which fuel Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's military machine to continue its aggression against Ukraine.

It is noted that Indian exports of goods such as microchips, circuits, and machine tools exceeded $60 million in April and May, roughly doubling compared to the previous months of this year.

It is estimated to have jumped to $95 million in July, officials told Bloomberg on condition of anonymity.

Currently, only China is ahead of India in terms of supplying sanctioned goods to Russia.

Western officials say that according to the latest data, almost a fifth of the banned technologies enter the Russian military-industrial complex through India.
