Apr 15, 2024

The Israeli government is studying a "wide range of options" regarding response to the recent Iranian attack. The decision will be made today, April 15, or in the near future.

This is reported with reference to Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) spokesman Peter Lerner, as quoted by ABC News.

According to Lerner, the military presented a "wide range of options" for responding to Iran's missile strike. Israel's response could be "with or without a strike". In particular, both options include "many different scenarios".

He noted that the government will decide on further steps today, April 15, or in the coming days.

On the night of April 14, Iran massively attacked Israel, using hundreds of attack drones and missiles. After the attack, the IDF said that almost all air targets were shot down and that the damage from the attack was negligible.

The attack was a response to Israel's strike on the Iranian embassy in Syria, which killed several generals.
