Israel attacked a Hamas command and control centre operating clandestinely in a designated humanitarian zone in the southern Gaza Strip. The Palestinian authorities announced the death of civilians.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) Telegram channel and Reuters.
According to the military, the terrorists, who were based at the command centre in Khan Younis, ‘developed and deployed terrorist plans against IDF troops and the Israeli civilian population’.
The army says it took ‘several steps in advance of the attack to minimise the likelihood of civilian harm’, including the use of precision munitions and intelligence.
