According to the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff, the missile launch by the DPRK was detected on Wednesday. However, no details were disclosed about the ballistic missile in the North.

The South Korean military said in a statement that the analysis is ongoing.

Meanwhile, the Japanese side claims that the DPRK has again launched “what looks like a ballistic missile.”

Representatives of the Japanese government claim that this missile seems to have fallen outside Japan's exclusive economic zone, NHK writes.

The Yonhap News publication also states that, according to state media, the DPRK tested a new 600-mm multiple launch rocket system last Thursday.
