Japan imposed a new package of sanctions against Russia

The Japanese government has imposed a new package of sanctions against Russia over its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The new list includes 12 individuals and 36 organizations.

According to the published list, personal sanctions have also been imposed against, among others, Chechen Prime Minister Muslim Khuchiyev and the commander of the special police regiment named after the Hero of Russia Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov of the Interior Ministry for Chechnya, Zamid Chalaev.

Japan also imposed sanctions against the son of former Krasnoyarsk Krai Governor Artem Uss, who escaped from house arrest in Italy last year.

Among the organizations included in the new Japanese sanctions lists are Atomflot, Kalashnikov, Almaz-Antey, Uralvagonzavod, Basalt, and the United Shipbuilding Corporation. Restrictions are also being imposed on Aviadvigor, Aeroscan, Neva Electronics, and other companies.
