According to anonymous sources, US President Joe Biden may give the green light to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to use Storm Shadow missiles and their French counterparts Scalp to hit targets on Russian territory on the grounds that the UK and France support such a step.

At the same time, the United States is unlikely to allow Ukraine to use US ATACMS for strikes.

Biden is expected to discuss this issue with other European leaders to hear their views on any changes in policy.

It is now known that both Britain and France support lifting restrictions on Ukraine's use of its long-range missiles, but so far the Americans have been blocking these changes for fear of escalation.

Earlier, the media reported that the United States would allow the country to launch deep strikes against Russia during the visit of U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
