Ukrainian pilots start training on F-16 in Romania

There will be more F-16 fighters in the Ukrainian skies. A group of Ukrainian pilots has already started training in Romania.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a statement by Ukraine's Defence Minister Rustem Umerov.

‘I had a fruitful telephone conversation with Romanian Defence Minister Angel Tilvar. The key topic was strengthening the protection of Ukrainian skies from Russian missiles and drones,’ the minister said.

Umerov said that Ukraine would soon receive a new Patriot air defence system from its Romanian partners.

‘There will also be more F-16s in the Ukrainian sky: a group of our pilots is already undergoing training in Romania. I thanked my Romanian colleague, the people and government of his country for supporting and strengthening our air defence,’ he stressed.
