Pentagon allocates $1.2 billion for production of AMRAAM missiles

The Pentagon has signed a $1.2 billion contract for the production of AMRAAM missiles. Ukraine will also receive them.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Pentagon's website.

‘Raytheon has received $1,195,985,081 to a previously signed contract for the Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM),’ the statement said.

The contract is for the production of 38 AMRAAM missiles, initial and field spare parts, as well as other equipment and activities to support production.

‘The work will be performed in Tucson and is expected to be completed by 31 December 2028,’ the US Defence Department said.

This contract includes foreign sales to Bahrain, Bulgaria, Canada, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Norway, Switzerland, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom.
