Macron on Israel's goal: destroying Hamas threatens decades of war

Israel's goal - to destroy the Palestinian terrorist movement Hamas - risks unleashing a decade of war.
This was stated by French President Emmanuel Macron, RBC-Ukraine reports regarding 24 News.
He stated that achieving the goal of "destroying Hamas" would mean that "the war will last 10 years."
"That's why this goal should be clarified," the president added.
Macron also called for stepped-up efforts to achieve a lasting ceasefire in the Gaza Strip a day after fighting between Israel and Hamas militants resumed following the expiration of a truce.
"This situation requires intensifying efforts to achieve a lasting ceasefire, release all hostages held by Hamas, provide more urgent aid to Gaza, and ensure Israel's security," he said.-
