On the situation in Kherson: combat operations continue

Combat operations in the city of Kherson are currently underway, and therefore the military maintains information silence.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the head of the United Coordinating Press Center of the Defense Forces in the south of Ukraine, Natalia Humenyuk, on the air of a telethon.

When asked by journalists what the Ukrainian flags in Kherson could mean, she said:

“They mean that Kherson is Ukraine, it means that people of Kherson have the endurance that we always ask to have during a military operation and we are grateful that they have endured this moment and now give such transparent hints that we will have not only a good day, but also a good sleep”.

At the same time, when asked if Kherson is ours (meaning if Ukrainian fighters have taken the city under their control), Humenyuk avoided answering, because the work of the fighters continues.

“It has always been ours, it’s just temporarily occupied. Now there is military combat work, it is quite difficult and powerful. But local residents demonstrate that they support this very work,” the official summarized.

As a reminder, today the media reported that Ukrainian troops entered the city of Kherson.

However, there is no official confirmation of this yet. Video clips from the city with Ukrainian flags and symbols continue to circulate on the Internet.
