Partial power outage in Sumy and region after explosions

On the evening of Wednesday, September 18, explosions were heard in Sumy. The city and the region experienced power outages.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the acting mayor of Sumy, Secretary of the Sumy City Council Artem Kobzar.

It is known that explosions were heard in the region during the alarm. Immediately afterwards, there were problems with electricity supply in some parts of Sumy.

An RBC-Ukraine correspondent also reported power outages in Sumy region.

According to Kobzar, rescuers and law enforcement officers are currently searching for the landing site. He asked locals who know where it could have happened to report to the police or firefighters.

According to Oleksiy Drozdenko, head of Sumy MVA, the explosion site has been found.

“The cause of the accident has already been established and power engineers will do everything to restore it! We believe in our power engineers! Thank you,” he wrote.
