Information about the postponement of the meeting was confirmed by Radio Liberty's sources at NATO headquarters.

An informed interlocutor of RBC-Ukraine confirmed this information.

Meeting in the “Ramstein” format

It should be added that the meeting was scheduled for October 12. Moreover, it was supposed to be chaired by the President of the United States of America (USA), Joe Biden. However, the latter postponed his visit due to the strong Hurricane Milton approaching the United States. It also became known that Secretary of State Anthony Blinken would not attend the meeting.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz expressed his concern over President Biden's decision to postpone his visit to Germany. He emphasized that a meeting with the American leader “would have been of great importance,” and preparations for it were being made “on all sides.”

In turn, the Pentagon said that the meeting scheduled for October 12 at Ramstein Air Force Base could be postponed. There is a possibility of combining it with a meeting of NATO defense ministers to be held on October 17-18.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, for his part, claimed to be thoroughly prepared for Ramstein, where he is to present a plan for victory.
