A "missile attack" was allegedly carried out on the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation, according to a statement by Governor Alexander Bogomaz.
"Today (July 9 - ed.), two missiles were shot down by the air defense forces of the Russian Armed Forces. One of the missiles completely destroyed a sawmill in the village of Bytosh," he said.
According to the governor, there were no casualties, and emergency services are working at the scene.
Authorities in Russia's Belgorod, Bryansk, and Kursk regions, which border Ukraine, regularly report shelling. They blame the Ukrainian army for the attacks. The Ukrainian command does not comment on the attacks.
