The Russian Federation is using the usual tactics of terrorizing civilians during the shelling of Ukraine.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the spokesman of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ilya Yevlash during a telethon.

According to him, the enemy continues to use the geographical location of cities and continues to strike at frontline areas such as Kharkiv and Chernihiv.

"There are only tens of kilometers to the border with Russia, so there is not much time for an effective response because the enemy is masking its attacks, conducting whole operations to inflict such strikes. First of all, the reason for this is the lack of air defense systems that could effectively strike these air targets and shoot down these missiles," Yevlash said.

He noted that the Ukrainian military is trying to counter Russian attacks based on the available forces and means at the disposal of the Air Force, but the enemy has many missiles with which it continues to attack Ukrainian cities.

Yesterday, Russia launched a missile attack on the city of Chernihiv. As a result, dozens of people were injured, and at least 17 people were reported dead.

Unfortunately, the reason is different. Western partners are afraid to transfer serious weapons to us. 10-15 Patriot batteries would be enough to close the skies over most of Ukraine. Several hundred long-range missiles would be enough to destroy most Russian military bases near Ukraine and many of their military factories.

But the west is afraid of escalation. That is why peaceful Ukrainians are dying because of the passivity of Ukraine's partners.
