This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Ceske Noviny.

President Pavel said last week that the Czech Republic has already identified more than a million units of ammunition that can be purchased for Ukraine in non-EU countries. Earlier, he spoke about the figure of 800 thousand pieces. According to him, work on finding money and partners for them continues.

"I think this is a reflection of the fact that everyone knows about a certain debt regarding the promised support to Ukraine when the European Union promised to deliver a million units by March of this year. Unfortunately, this did not happen," he said.

According to The Financial Times, the purchase of 800,000 units of ammunition should cost $1.5 billion (about UAH 60 billion).

The government agent for the recovery of Ukraine, Tomas Kopechny, announced today on the air of Czech Radio Plus that the amount of the purchase will be about three billion dollars.

"I can't say the exact amount, because first of all, it's the movement of prices; it's the market, but more or less, it's about twice as much as reported by the Financial Times, that is, about three billion dollars," said Kopechny.

Finance Minister Zbinek Stanyura said on Czech television today that the Czech Republic's financial contribution to the purchase of ammunition will be from 500 million to 1 billion crowns.

"This is an amount that corresponds to the size of the Czech Republic and the indicators of the Czech economy," he added.
