The scenario of Russia continuing its war against Ukraine for the next nine years is unrealistic.

This was stated by Oleksandr Musienko, head of the Center for Military and Legal Studies, and Oleksandr Kovalenko, a military and political expert at the Information Resistance group, in a commentary to RBC-Ukraine.

According to Musienko, he does not rule out that the war may continue after 2025, but the expert did not comment on the timeframe until 2032. He clarified that only the situation on the battlefield will show the duration of the war.

At the same time, Kovalenko believes that the "9-year scenario" is completely unrealistic.

Commenting on the German parliament's decision to extend the military aid plan for Ukraine until 2032, the expert noted that it is not a forecast of the duration of hostilities, but support after the war.

"Because after the war is over, we will also need help to restore the combat capability of our security forces, our Defense Forces. This is a long-term project designed not only for the period of hostilities but also for the future," Kovalenko said.
