Between June and October, Denmark handed over 45-meter rescue lifts worth DKK 130 million to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, with the last batch arriving last week.
The lifts will be used to rescue people from buildings after explosions and to extinguish fires in high-rise buildings, the Danish Emergency Service said.
“The people of Ukraine are suffering from constant Russian attacks on civilian targets such as hospitals and residential buildings. Therefore, it is important that we help the Ukrainian authorities to save lives and mitigate the consequences of the war for the civilian population,” commented Danish Minister of Civil Security Thorsten Schak Pedersen.
