Seven children were evacuated from the Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine. Their families are now free again.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to a statement by the Human Rights Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets.
According to him, four families from Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Luhansk regions lived under the pressure of Russian occupation. They managed to break free thanks to the implementation of the approved action plan of the President of Ukraine Bring Kids Back UA.
“In the TOT, families were forced to obey the harsh conditions of the occupiers - to receive Russian passports, send their children to Russian schools, where they were taught a false history and even forced to try on the uniform of the invaders,” Lubinets wrote.
He said that every day of the families under occupation was a test: Fear due to armed searches, interrogations, pressure from threats of deprivation of parental rights and removal of children, the decline of their own business and decent earnings.
