The Embassy of Ukraine in Budapest managed to take three Ukrainian prisoners of war from Hungary, who were held there under Hungary's agreements with Russia.
This was reported by the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Oleh Nikolenko.
According to Nikolenko, the three prisoners of war who returned from Hungary are already in Ukraine and are being provided with all possible support.
"Ukrainian diplomats, together with the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War and other involved bodies of Ukraine, continue to take active measures to bring home the rest of the Ukrainian defenders taken from Russia to Hungary," the Foreign Ministry spokesman added.
