Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin said that Ukraine has "a number of available options" to continue its counteroffensive operations.
He said this during a press conference in Papua New Guinea, CNN reports.
Austin did not comment on the course of the counteroffensive or specific details of the fighting but said that Ukraine "retains manpower and equipment" despite the fact that its troops are forced to make their way through minefields and other obstacles.
"They still have a number of capabilities, and we can expect them to keep pushing," the Pentagon chief said.
According to him, Ukraine is well prepared to succeed on the battlefield.
