This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Ukraine's Ambassador to India Oleksandr Polishchuk, quoted by Bloomberg.
According to him, India should play a more active role in ending the war in Ukraine if it wants a permanent seat on the UN Security Council.
The ambassador said that Ukraine wants India to “moderate” talks with Russia and use its ties with Moscow to persuade it to join the peace talks. According to the diplomat, Ukraine has offered India to hold a second peace summit by November 2024, but it is not yet clear whether New Delhi will agree.
Polishchuk added that India should not be satisfied with playing “a postman who delivers messages between Ukraine and Russia” but should “play a more reliable role.”
