US calls on Russia to return abducted children to Ukraine
The United States insists that Russia must stop deporting Ukrainians from the territories it occupies and return them to Ukraine, including children.
According to Yevropeiska Pravda, this was stated by State Department spokesman Matthew Miller.
According to Miller, one of the worst elements of this war "is the deportation of Ukrainian civilians to Russia, including civilians who have been forcibly separated from their families".
The State Department spokesman noted that in connection with this factor, the U.S. Secretary of State determined that the Russian Armed Forces and officials have committed crimes against humanity.
"We continue to call on Russia to stop these illegal actions and return the Ukrainian children. And I would say that we support prosecuting these crimes (of those involved - Ed.)," Miller summarized.
