Zelensky: Lyman is totally mopped up

President Volodymyr Zelensky on the afternoon of October 2 reported the complete mopping up of Lyman, Donetsk region, from the Russian occupiers.
The Head of the Stated announced this in his video address.
"As of 12:30 pm, Lyman is completely mopped up. Thanks to our military, our soldiers. Glory to Ukraine!" the President said.
Lyman was used by the Russians as one of the strongholds for the attack on Sloviansk, Donetsk region.
By taking control of Lyman, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will also be able to keep under fire control the road from Svatove to Kreminna, which is important for supplying the Russian grouping in the southwestern sector of the Luhansk Region.
