Bodies of 1,333 Ukrainians tortured by Russians found in Kyiv region

The search and identification of civilians killed after the Russian occupation continues in Kyiv region. Data on those killed change almost every day.

As of June 21, the bodies of 1,333 killed civilians have been found in the Kyiv region, liberated on April, 2. This was stated by the Chief of the Police of the Kyiv region Andriy Nebytov on air of the telethon “United News”, reports the 24th Channel.

“Today we have 1,333 bodies of dead Ukrainians, which have already been examined by investigators and transferred to the correspondent forensic institutions. Most of them (more than 50%) were killed by small arms – pistols, assault rifles or machine guns,” the official said.

Andriy Nebytov also told about the latest find of mass burial of murdered Ukrainians. These are seven people. Their bodies were found near the village of Myrotske in the Bucha district. “These people were executed. The pit where they were buried was where Russian positions were situated. People were buried in layers. First two were killed and buried. Then two more. Each of them was shot in the knees and then in the head. All of them were in civilian clothes; now the identification process is being carried out”, Nebytov said.

Police have not yet identified the names of 213 more dead, identification continues. Meanwhile, 300 people in the Kyiv region are listed as missing after the Russian occupation. Police believes that some of them were killed, but their bodies have not yet been found.

But there are also those who were forcibly deported to Belarus. Andriy Nebytov stated that the police know that Ukrainians are kept in certain buildings on the territory of the neighboring state. Therefore, policemen are trying to do everything they can to ensure that these people can at least get in touch with their relatives.
