The International Monetary Fund will provide Ukraine with $1.1 billion. This tranche is expected at the end of December.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal on Telegram.
The Prime Minister said that he had met with the IMF team. He thanked the IMF team for the full continuation of the mission in Kyiv.
“We successfully completed the fifth review of the EFF program at the end of October. We have completed all the structural benchmarks for the sixth review. Based on the results of the current mission, we expect to receive the next tranche of $1.1 billion at the end of December,” Shmyhal said.
According to him, during the meeting with the IMF team, the parties discussed further implementation of the reforms envisaged by the Memorandum of Cooperation with the IMF and Ukraine's progress, which the Fund “appreciated very much.”
The parties also touched upon microfinance issues and Ukraine's needs for external financing.
