The European Commission has approved the allocation of EUR 4.1 billion to Ukraine. These funds will be allocated under the Ukraine Facility.
This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing his post on Telegram.
Shmyhal explained that the European Commission had given a positive assessment of the reforms and noted that the Government had fulfilled the necessary indicators to receive this tranche.
“We are counting on a quick approval of the decision by the EU Council. After that, the total amount of support under the Ukraine Facility for this year will amount to EUR 16.1 billion,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
He also thanked the EU for its unwavering support for Ukraine.
“Even despite the full-scale war with Russia, we continue to reform and transform for the sake of rapprochement with Europe and full membership in the EU,” Shmyhal said.-
