President-elect Donald Trump will not deprive Ukraine of weapons or aid. Even though he wants a quick end to the war.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Politico.
According to an anonymous source, Kyiv currently believes that Trump may well be a better option than his Democratic opponent Kamala Harris.
“At best, Harris would follow the approach of Joe Biden (the current president - ed.) - that would be her policy, and it would mean the slow death of Ukraine,” he said.
Instead, Trump, he said, even though he wants to end the war in Ukraine quickly, does not intend to throw in the towel.
The source noted that the newly elected president is not going to deprive Ukraine of weapons and supplies because he knows that the collapse of Ukraine will mean that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin will not solve the issue at the negotiating table.
“Trump has a vested interest in this,” the source said.-
