Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani supports the participation of Russia and China in the Ukraine peace summit. However, Moscow should not demand Ukraine's surrender.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to a statement by Tajani, quoted by RAI.
The Foreign Minister reiterated that Italy is not at war with Russia. He supported a peace summit in Ukraine, which would allow for a dialogue on ending the war.
‘I am in favour of a peace conference, in which, as Zelenskyy himself said, the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China (PRC) should participate,’ Tajani said.
According to the Italian minister, Russia should not come to the peace summit with a decision to surrender Ukraine.
‘However, I believe that Russia should not come to the conference with a decision on Ukraine's surrender or defeat, because otherwise it would not be a peace agreement,’ the Italian Foreign Minister stressed.-
