Occupants again send children from Donetsk to Russia for ‘re-education’

Sep 20, 2024

The Russian occupiers continue to carry out large-scale deportations of Ukrainian children to the territory of the Russian Federation. Under the guise of ‘rest’ in children's camps, they are sent for re-education.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the National Resistance Centre (NRC).

‘These actions have nothing to do with caring for children, but are part of a deep strategy for the propagandistic re-education of the younger generation,’ the news source said.

According to the CNS, the collaborators are sending 430 children from occupied Donetsk to Taganrog for ‘preventive recreation’. This measure includes a two-week course of propaganda education.

In addition, there are cases when parents have sent their children to such camps, but have not been able to return them. The reason for this is bureaucratic or physical obstacles that jeopardise family reunification.

The media outlet stressed that all perpetrators of such genocide will be held accountable for their crimes under international law. In addition, the CNS asked people to provide information to help bring the time of de-occupation of Ukrainian territories closer.
