The United States intends to tighten restrictions on trade in Russian oil. In particular, this applies to the shadow fleet used by Moscow to export raw materials.

This was stated by Deputy Assistant to the President of the United States for National Security Affairs Dalip Singh, RBC-Ukraine reports citing Top Buzz Times.

‘I think we're getting closer to talking about a much tougher regime in terms of both the shadow fleet and the amount of oil that Russia can supply to the market,’ he said.

Singh mentioned another area of sanctions policy where the US intends to step up its efforts: reducing ‘the interest of third countries that produce components that go directly to the battlefield for Russia, or transit supplies of goods.’
