Ukrainian officers take part in exercises at the NATO center

Representatives of the Central Directorate of Civil-Military Cooperation of the General Staff of the Armed Forces took part in a NATO course for officers of higher staffs.

As reported by Ukrinform, the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.

"Ukrainian CIMIC (civil-military cooperation - ed.) participated in the NATO course on civil-military cooperation for officers of higher headquarters. Officers of civil-military relations and civil-military cooperation from the USA, Italy, Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Greece and other partner countries also took part in the exercises, which were organized on the basis of the Center of Excellence of the NATO Central Intelligence Agency in The Hague. - the message says.

As noted, during two weeks, course participants improved their knowledge and skills in the field of civil-military cooperation. Much attention was paid to the process of planning and organizing Central Security Service activities at the strategic level according to NATO standards, as well as to civil-military interaction with state institutions, in particular, to promote their stability during crisis situations.

In addition, the participants studied the issue of protection of the civilian population as well as the coordination of the work of humanitarian organizations in the areas of military (combat) operations. An important component of the course was the reports of experts on humanitarian issues who shared their knowledge and experience regarding the main challenges in the humanitarian sphere.

The participants of the course also had the opportunity to exchange international experience regarding the practical implementation of the measures of the Central Military Commission in various armed conflicts and peacekeeping missions.

According to the press service, the representative of the Central Administration of the Central Military Commission of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces informed the CIMIC international community about the current situation in the country, the main challenges in repelling large-scale armed aggression, and the acquired experience of the units of the Armed Forces in the direction of the Central Military Commission.

After two weeks of discussions, interactive lectures, and work in syndicates, all participants successfully completed the course and received certificates of completion, the press service noted.
