The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has said that Patriot systems are not capable of effectively fighting against guided aerial bombs that threaten Ukraine.

He said this in an interview with The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The head of state noted that the biggest problem now is with the KABs (guided aerial bombs) and missiles. Russian troops are using them in large numbers throughout eastern Ukraine.

"Shooting down missiles and KABs with Patriot missiles is only a short-term solution," the president emphasized.

Zelenskyy also spoke of the physical limitations of the ability to mass produce and use Patriot, pointing to the high cost and limited number of systems available.

"We need to look for long-range solutions against airplanes based at airfields and bombing with KABs," the head of state emphasized.
