The Czech Republic has already supplied Ukraine with 50,000 shells

The Czech Republic has provided additional details about its initiative to purchase ammunition for Ukraine. This was reported by Ceske Noviny.

The first batch of ammunition has already arrived in Ukraine some time ago, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala assures.

Defense Minister Jana Černohova clarified that it was 50,000 rounds of ammunition. The Czech Republic cooperated with Germany on the delivery. This is the first part of 180,000 rounds of ammunition financed by a German contribution.

According to the prime minister, the money allocated by the Czech government will be spent on the purchase of ammunition from the Czech company STV Group.

The initiative has been joined by 18 countries, of which 15 have pledged money, Chernokhova added.

According to Fiala, tens of thousands of units of ammunition will be regularly delivered to Ukraine every month. The goal is to deliver up to 500,000 units by the end of the year, a number that is currently financially secured, he added.
