Air attack: explosion heard in Kyiv

An explosion was heard in the Kyiv area on the night of June 27 during a large-scale air alert in Ukraine, announced due to a combined attack by the Russian occupiers.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Suspilne.

The explosion in the capital was heard around three in the morning.

At the same time, local authorities and representatives of the administration did not report an explosion in Kyiv. Public and Kyiv Telegram channels wrote that the explosion could have been related to air defense systems targeting enemy targets.

Earlier, the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that a high-speed target was detected flying southwest through Zhytomyr region.

This followed reports of a MiG-31K taking off in Russia and a possible missile launch.
