Political isolation and a lack of ammunition have forced Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to seek support from another dictator, Kim Jong-un.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to a statement by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with The Philadelphia Inquirer columnist Trudy Rubin.

"The Peace Summit forced Putin to look for allies. And here are the allies. Here we see the terrorist North Korea. What made him do it? Of course, political isolation, and secondly, he lacks artillery. Everything is very primitive. North Korea has millions of artillery shells, and Putin needs this artillery. He is risking relations with China because he simply does not have enough shells," Zelenskyy said.

According to him, Putin's actions are a good signal to the Ukrainian military and indicate that Russia is not doing so well on the battlefield.

"If you take all the stockpiles of North Korea, I think there are 5 million in warehouses, this is less than Russia used during the year. This shows that they cannot give it all because they need stocks themselves, but it also shows our partners that let's not talk about a long war because they don't have the strength," the president said.
