64% of Germans oppose supplying fighter jets to Ukraine

Almost two-thirds of Germans are against the supply of German combat aircraft to Ukraine.

This is evidenced by the results of a Deutschlandtrend poll, Welt reports.

64% of respondents oppose the supply of fighter jets, while 28% would support such a supply.

In general, 43% assessed the current support for Ukraine in the field of armaments as adequate, the study said.

However, more than a third (37%) believe that the assistance has gone too far, and another 14% consider it insufficient.

In addition, 42% of respondents believe that sanctions against Russia are not comprehensive enough. Almost one-third (29%) think they are appropriate, and one in five (20%) think they are too broad.
