According to media reports, law enforcement officers were informed about the drone's crash by local residents.

It is not yet known how the drone ended up on the Bulgarian coast - whether it fell from the air or was washed away by the current. There is also no information about the UAV's ownership.

"At around 9:30 pm last night, I received a call that there was a similar object washed up by the waves. As of 10:10 p.m. last night, the area has been cordoned off. The action at this time is an order to cordon off the area to protect the lives and health of the people who live in the area until the arrival of the authorities of the Ministry of Defence," said Marijan Zhechev, mayor of the municipality of Shabla.

Asked whether the origin of the drone was known, he said that "from what is visible from afar, it is one of those used in the war in Ukraine".

According to the Bulgarian Ministry of Defense, a special group of five military officers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs has arrived at the site. They will conduct a reconnaissance of the facility, after which a decision will be made on where to dispose of it.

It is worth noting that Tyulenevo is a settlement of NATO member Bulgaria. It is located 70 kilometers from the border with Romania, which has repeatedly seen the wreckage of Russian drones fall on its territory.
