Azerbaijan and Armenia may conclude a peace agreement to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict next week during the summit of the European Political Community.
This was stated by Azerbaijani Ambassador to France Leyla Abdullayeva, Reuters reports.
"On June 1 in Chisinau, we hope that a peace treaty will finally be signed. This is a historic moment and an impulse that cannot be missed," she said.
According to the agency's sources in diplomatic circles, on the sidelines of the summit, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will hold high-level talks with French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
