Biden reacts for the first time to Iran's strike on Israel

The United States of America is committed to Israel's security and supports a ceasefire in the Middle East.

This was stated by U.S. President Joe Biden, RBC-Ukraine reports citing CNN.

"The United States is committed to the security of Israel. We are committed to a ceasefire that will bring the hostages home and prevent the conflict from spreading further than it already has," the president said at a meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani.

At the same time, Biden added that the United States is committed to the security of the American contingent and partners in the Middle East, including Iraq.

"The partnership between Iraq and the United States is critical," the American leader said.
