Biden urges Congress to approve aid for Ukraine and Israel
U.S. President Joe Biden has once again called on lawmakers, particularly from the Republican Party, to approve additional military aid for Ukraine and Israel as soon as possible.
This is stated in Biden's column for The Wall Street Journal.
The American president recalled how the Ukrainian military is holding back Russia's offensive along the entire front line and how Israel, together with its allies, repelled a massive missile and drone attack by Iran last weekend.
"Both Ukraine and Israel are under attack by brazen enemies who seek their destruction. Putin wants to conquer the people of Ukraine and absorb their nation into a new Russian empire. The Iranian government wants to destroy Israel forever, wiping the world's only Jewish state off the map," Biden stated.
In his opinion, the United States should not accept this, as "our security is at stake."
