Clashes in northern Kosovo: about 25 NATO peacekeepers injured

As a result of clashes in the city of Zveçani in the north of partially recognized Kosovo, North Atlantic Alliance peacekeepers from the KFOR mission and Serbs protesting under the administrative building over the non-recognition of local elections were injured.

This was reported by Yevropeiska Pravda.

The Italian media, citing the KFOR statement, first reported 41 injured NATO peacekeepers, including 11 Italians, whose contingent is one of the largest in Kosovo. Later, KFOR's statement reported about 25 injured peacekeepers.

According to Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, three of the injured Italians are in serious condition, but their lives are not in danger. "I would like to express my solidarity with the soldiers of the KFOR mission who were injured in Kosovo during clashes between Serbian demonstrators and the Kosovo police," he emphasized.

According to the Serbian state broadcaster RTS, more than 50 people were injured on the Serbian side. One of them is in critical condition, and two others are in serious condition. Among the injured is the former head of Zvečan, Dragisa Milović, who suffered a chest wound.
