Czech politicians: Ukraine should receive the same support as Israel

In the Czech Republic, some politicians believe that the situation in Ukraine requires a coordinated international response similar to the one Israel received during and after the strikes by Iranian drones and missiles.

Some Czech politicians believe that Ukraine, which faces regular drone and missile attacks from Russia, should receive the same protection as Israel.

"The Ayatollah's nighttime attack on Israel was successfully repelled thanks to a quick international response and readiness to defend airspace. It is a pity that we do not defend the airspace over Ukraine with the same vigor...", said Czech Minister of European Affairs Martin Dvorak of the STAN party.

"Ukraine deserves the same strong defense that Israel rightfully received from its allies last night," commented Danusz Nerudowa, STAN's leading candidate in the European elections.

Czech MEP Marketa Gregorová also joined the call to strengthen the defense of Ukraine.

"I completely condemn Iran's attack on Israel... In light of Scholz's promise yesterday to provide Ukraine with more Patriot, I believe that the West will finally help build air defenses that will also protect Ukrainian civilians," Gregorova said.
