Duda: Everything must be done for Ukraine to return the territories

Apr 15, 2024

Polish President Andrzej Duda considers the situation in Ukraine to be very difficult and calls for "everything possible" to be done so that Kyiv can return the Ukrainian territories occupied by Russia.

Duda said this in an interview with LRT.

According to the Polish president, he has "always said in the international arena" that Ukraine "needs our help - constant and endless help". He noted that Ukraine needs ammunition most of all.

"The situation in Ukraine is very difficult... Ukraine wants to regain full control over the occupied territories. This is also important for the whole world because it is a sign that international law is in force," Duda said.

Speaking about potential peace talks with Russia and possible concessions by Ukraine, the Polish president said he had not heard any talks about peace talks.

"They are definitely not ongoing at the moment. I know that Volodymyr Zelenskyy has a very tough stance on defense and regaining territories. We have to do everything possible to ensure that Ukraine is able to regain all the territories that were taken away from it," Duda said.
