EU summit agreed to speed up arms delivery to Ukraine

The EU summit agreed to speed up the delivery of military aid to Ukraine amid Russia's massive attacks. This includes artillery ammunition and missiles.

This is reported with reference to the conclusions of the summit, published on the website of the European Council.

The European Council condemned Russia's ongoing air and missile attacks against civilians and civilian and critical infrastructure in Ukraine, including the recent shelling of the energy sector.

"The European Union and its Member States will intensify the provision of humanitarian and civil protection assistance, including equipment such as power generators and power transformers," the statement said.

The EU Council also supported increased efforts to provide Ukraine with the necessary military assistance, including air defense equipment.

"The European Council underlines the need to urgently provide air defence to Ukraine and to speed up and intensify the delivery of all the necessary military assistance, including artillery ammunition and missiles," the EU Council said.
