Seven out of ten Lithuanians believe that Russia is a real threat to the country's national security.
This is evidenced by the results of a survey commissioned by the public broadcaster LRT.
1,115 respondents were asked whether they thought Russia posed a real threat to Lithuania's national security.
70% of them said they considered Russia to be a threat, of which 29% said "definitely yes" and 41% said "rather yes".
19% of respondents answered "rather no", 4% - "definitely no" and 7% were undecided or did not want to answer.
The only group of the population with significantly different opinions were permanent residents of Lithuania of other nationalities. Among them, 50% disagree that Russia is a threat, while 31% agree.
Among Lithuanians themselves, 74% consider Russia a threat.
The poll was conducted on 15-25 March by Baltijos Tyrimi, with a margin of error of 2.9 percentage points.
