Iran demands that the US not take part in hostilities with Israel

The Iranian government has warned the US against interfering in hostilities with Israel. Otherwise, Tehran threatens to attack American soldiers.

According to three American sources, Iran has told several Arab countries that it considers the United States responsible for the attack on the consulate in Damascus.

Iran also sent a signal to the administration of US President Joe Biden that if the US military intervened after Iran struck Israel, US bases in the region would be attacked.

"The Iranian message was that we will attack the forces that attack us, so don't joke with us, and we won't joke with you," the source said.

At the same time, according to the general assessment of American intelligence, which is cited by Axios, the Iranians can attack American troops only if the United States joins Israel in a counteroffensive.

Axios writes that Israel and the US believe that an Iranian attack would include the launch of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and attack drones from Iran into Israeli territory.
